KEISHIA GU, EPIC ADVENTURE HOST
As the daughter of a United States Air Force Colonel, Keishia Gu began her travel career at an early age. By the time she went to college she had attended 16 schools from Kindergarten to 12th grade. Growing up as a “nomad”, she was always fascinated by her “worldview.” From the cornfields of Nebraska, the Nevada desert, to the lush Azore Islands of Portugal, Keishia considers herself incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to trek the globe with her family.
She settled down long enough to attend college and graduate school at Georgetown University and Harvard University, respectively, and has enjoyed a successful career in educational advocacy. But travelling is never far from her mind, and of course, adventure soon follows. When she was not wearing a business suit and making partnership deals, Keishia carved out time to earn a yellow belt in Krav Maga, surfed incredible waves in Panama, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Puerto Rico. And she’s crashed more than her fair share of motorcycles! She loves the heart-stopping challenge of new activities and is a self-proclaimed adrenaline junkie.
As a health advocate, certified Les Mills Body Pump and Les Mills Immersive Fitness instructor, and licensed Zumba instructor Keishia is a champion for all forms of empowerment—physical and mental. After transforming and sculpting her own body, she garnered national attention and became one of the grand-prize winners of the Nutrisystem Fab 40 Weight Loss Challenge. She can currently be seen showing off her fit physique and dance moves in national television commercials, infomercials, and print ads for both Nutrisystem and Zumba Fitness.
Most importantly, Keishia lives a life of great balance, and works just as hard as she plays.
Currently, she lives in Los Angeles with her husband, who is her favorite travelling, and surfing companion and their two dogs.
Keishia considers hosting Epic Adventures to be the role that she was born and raised to take on, and as with everything she does, she plans to host with full gusto.
